Low Impact Development and Green Infrastructure in the Carp River

This project involved the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) and the University of Ottawa Capstone Seminar in Environmental Sustainability (Masters Program). The goal was to demonstrate how low impact development can help address climate change in the greater Ottawa Area. The research was done by several students from the University of Ottawa. Guidance was provided by OETN advisors; Sally McInyre, John Karau, and Mary Trudeau. The students developed a final report and presentation, and provided an integrated watershed management assessment of the MVCA carp river restoration project. The report and final presentation were submitted to all key stakeholders and was well-received, as it will support MVCA in their future work.
