Deep Green Development & District Energy System Videos

The 1st goal of this project was to produce media materials to inform local community about the potential for advanced sustainability approaches to the major development. The research was done by a Carleton University student and an advisor who was a Instructional Design Consultant/LEED Green Associate. 3 videos were produced and screened at the Deep Green forum in 2014 and were featured on SLOE’s website. The 2nd goal of the project was to technically evaluate the potential to aggregate energy demand/service with district energy system configurations/energy supply options. This involved a District Energy Specialist and two Carleton University engineering Communication Skills classes. The final report was a compilation of research/analysis related to community energy systems.

Advisor: Aileen Larkin, Instructional Design Consultant and LEED Green Associate

Research Team: Students from Carleton University enrolled in the Communications Skills course, with professor Lisa Meyer (School of Linguistics and Language Studies)
